Planning for this year’s Brighton Applefest continues as the Applefest Steering Committee meets this evening at Brighton’s Council Chambers.
The September 16 meeting agenda includes updates on several major areas of the festival, including the Children’s Village, entertainment and the car show.
The committee is also scheduled to receive an economic development update and discuss the festival’s finances. The Finance Department is requesting the committee’s proposed budget for 2027.
There are no delegations or correspondence scheduled for the meeting.
The committee is also looking ahead to several upcoming dates. Volunteer training is scheduled for September 24 from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by an Applefest Volunteer Appreciation Night on October 1 at Northumberland Fine Foods.
A wrap-up meeting is scheduled for October 14, which has been moved up by a week because of the municipal election.
The September 16 Applefest Steering Committee meeting is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers.
