The Brighton Vikings are ready to light up the King Edward Park Arena this coming weekend, with home games against the Toronto Flyers (Sat., 7:30) and Durham Roadrunners (Sun., 7:30).
The Vikings (2-0) are one of three teams still undefeated in the South Division, after sweeping the high-powered Orangeville Blitz to open the season last weekend.
Dennis Sicard’s Brighton group has been led offensively by captain Yenri Jibb (5g, 2a) and import forward Timofei Ergardt (1g, 3a).
On paper, the Vikes are expected to score a lot of goals this weekend hosting Toronto (1-1, 13 goals allowed) and Durham (0-5, 36 goals allowed) — but you have to play the games.
Tickets are $10, and available both online at brightonvikings.ca or at the door on game nights at King Edward Park Arena; fans can also purchase merchandise for the region’s newest junior hockey club at the rink.
