Wednesday October 7th Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon raised over $50,000 for vulnerable children and youth in the Hastings, Northumberland and Prince Edward Counties.
Ingrid Moore, executive director of the children’s foundation serving those areas, says radio stations from all over including MyFM 93.3 and Classic Rock 107.9 took part in the 12 hour fundraiser.
Moore said the amount raised so far is amazing.
Moore adds that everything used to raise the money including radio advertising is donated, so all the money raised goes directly to programs.
Moore says with the help from our stations a simple thank you just isn’t enough.
The annual Kids Can’t Wait Radiothon will be on the air again early next October.
