Campbellford Memorial Hospital is being recognized as one of the highest-rated hospitals in Canada based on Google reviews.
The Trent Hills facility earned an average rating of 3.63 out of five stars from 219 reviews, ranking fourth nationally and second in Ontario among 177 hospitals included in an analysis of more than 135,000 reviews.
Hospital president and CEO Jeff Hohenkerk says the recognition is especially meaningful because it reflects feedback from patients and their families.
He says compassionate, patient-centred care depends on treating people with dignity, listening to their concerns and offering reassurance during difficult times.
The analysis, conducted by digital marketing firm SEO Backlinks, notes that online reviews are not a scientific measure of clinical performance, but can offer insight into patients’ experiences.
Campbellford Memorial Hospital has 38 beds and serves about 40,000 people across Northumberland, Peterborough and Hastings counties. The hospital is also planning a new facility and integrated Campus of Care aimed at strengthening access to health services while maintaining its community-focused approach.
