A 38-year-old Quinte West man has been charged after the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a call for a collision on Frankford-Stirling Road in Quinte West.
Police say on Sunday October 25th just after 7 a.m. a vehicle left the road and hit a hydro pole.
After an investigation the driver was arrested for impaired driving and charged with operation while impaired by alcohol and failure or refusal to comply with a demand.
In addition to those charges the man’s license was suspended for 90 days and his car impounded for 14 days.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court December 10th.
Also on Sunday October 25th police investigating an assault in Quinte West arrested a man who left the scene in a vehicle.
After an investigation that sent one person to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police learned the suspect drove away from the scene, but was located and arrested a short time later.
